Feast of the Seven Fishes 2010 - A Video

I finally got around to putting together a video from the footage I took during our Feast of the Seven Fishes this past Christmas Eve.

It was the first time I've done video editing like this - it was frustrating at first, but fun once I familiarized myself with the editing software (Sony Vegas).

  2. For your first attempt at this kind of video editing I am very impressed. The sound mixing is done really well. Mixing in the cooking sounds with the music at just the right points and right levels, well done. Are the stills frame grabs from the video or actual still photos mixed in?

    very cool!

  3. Thanks, Brad - the images are still photos mixed in. The sound mixing was actually pretty easy. Aligning the video and audio was harder, but made much more simple once I realized I could set the BPM of the video to match the audio and snap segments to the beat.

  4. That was fantastic and sad all at once: fantastic for reasons made obvious by my lip-smacking, and sad only because I can't afford the time-machine/transporter unit to get me there and then. Yum!

  5. Hi Mosaica - I wouldn't mind time traveling back to have that dinner again myself. I'll just have to wait until next Christmas Eve.

  8. Nice video. And nice ravioli. We've had a few pasta adventures that were rather challenging. I'll watch that video a couple more times and see if I can't replicate it...

  9. Hi Bbq Dude - we don't do homemade pasta too often, but I always really enjoy it when we do. Definitely worth the effort every once in a while.
